Building Future Jewish Leaders

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is proud to announce the launch of its 2020 Government AdvocacyInternship Program (GAIP).

GAIP is entering its fifth year as a one-of-a-kind program in educating the next generation on thepractical skills necessary to be effective leaders in Jewish communal advocacy.

Since its inception, the program has served 80 college and graduate school-aged students from across thecountry. GAIP provides first-hand experience in the mechanics of state and municipal government, politics, media relations, inter-group relationship-building, grassroots organizing, andother strategic necessities for real-time effective activism.

In addition to working each day, the interns attend regular leadership training sessions given by top lobbyists, issue-based advocates and Jewish communal leaders. Further, each intern ismentored by a public-policy expert.
