On 13th Anniversary Of Iran-Ordered Terrorist Attack On AMIA-JCC, Tehran Launches Disinformation CampaignBlaming "Zionist And Argentine Agents"

On the 13th anniversary of the terrorist attack against the AMIA-Jewish Community Center, the Simon Wiesenthal Centercondemned the release of “The AMIA Case – From the Beginning to the present”, published on the Spanish and English pages of Iran’s official news agency, IRNA's website. The"document" presents the Iranian "version" about those allegedly responsible for the terrorist attack which took place in Buenos Aires on July 18, 1994, and killed 85 people.

“Both the language and the content of this report show a conspiratorial approach which seems taken from the infamousProtocols of the Elders of Zion, the fabricated antisemitic libel of an alleged Jewish plan for world domination, and has become the Bible for contemporary Jew-hatred,” saidShimon Samuels, Director for International Relations of the Wiesenthal Center.

The Center highlighted the following points in the disinformation release by Iran:

- “The events in the AMIA case (…) demonstrate the existence of a premeditated conspiracy in which the role is clear of international Zionism and its Argentine agents”.

- “The Argentine government accepted (…) the presumptions of high-level government and courts officials based on falsified evidence favouring the Zionists”

- “After current Argentine President Nestor Kirchner’s trip to the US and his meeting with 12 American Jewish organizations in 2003, and concious of the need to obtain financial aid, hecommitted to close the file according to the demands of the Zionists”.

- “The suspicion grew that the explosions were in fact premeditated plots which involved Argentine government and courts officials together with Zionist circles”

- “Among the groups which are following the case are (…) the Center for Legal and Social Studies [CELS – an Argentine human rights group which is in a similar line as Human Rights Watch],an influential Zionist institution”. The report also describes Memoria Activa, a grassroots group of families and friends of the victims of the AMIA bombing, as “the US based JewishNGO”

- “It should be noted that the Argentine government has limited resources to resist the Zionist lobbies”

“This propaganda effort manipulates some real data combined with obvious falsehoods. The indictment by Argentina'sSpecial Prosecutor Alberto Nisman clearly shows the responsibility of former Iranian government officials and Hizbollah leadership in the AMIA bombing,” said Sergio Widder, Latin AmericanRepresentative of the Center.

"Indeed, the findings of the Argentine Prosecutor have led to warrants by INTERPOL. On this anniversary of the attackagainst the AMIA, we call to redouble international efforts so that those responsible for this attack are brought to justice. Iran and Hezbollah must be accountable for their terroristactivities. It is a debt to the victims and their families, to Argentine society and the international community,” Widder concluded.

Atentado contra la AMIA: Irán aplica la matriz de los Protocolos de los Sabios de Sion para encubrir laverdad.

Al cumplirse un nuevo aniversario del atentado terrorista contra la AMIA, el Centro Simon Wiesenthal repudió el contenido del informe “El proceso AMIA desde el inicio hasta laactualidad”, publicado en el sitio web en castellano de la agencia estatal de noticias de Irán, IRNA. El documento presenta la versión iraní acerca de las responsabilidades en elatentado terrorista que tuvo lugar en Buenos Aires el 18/07/1994 y que produjera la muerte de 85 personas.

“El lenguaje y el contenido de este informe presentan una visión conspirativa que remite directamente a los infames Protocolos de los Sabios de Sion, el libelo antisemita que describe unsupuesto plan judío para dominar el mundo y que desde su publicación en 1905 se ha convertido en la Biblia del antisemitismo contemporáneo”, señaló Shimon Samuels, Director de RelacionesInternacionales del Centro Wiesenthal.

A modo ilustrativo, el Centro destacó los siguientes puntos del informe:

- “Los acontecimientos posteriores referentes al caso AMIA (…) demuestra(n) en su conjunto la existencia de una conspiración premeditada en la que se divisa el papel del sionismointernacional y sus agentes argentinos”

- “El gobierno argentino se enfrentaba a (…) la presunción de que algunos altos miembros del gobierno y la judicatura hubiesen falsificado totalmente pruebas a favor de los sionistas”

- “Después del viaje de Néstor Kirchner, actual presidente de Argentina, a los Estados Unidos y su encuentro con 12 grupos y asociaciones judías norteamericanas en el año 2003, él, quientuvo muy en cuenta las observaciones del gobierno argentino para conseguir ayuda financiera, se comprometió a cerrar el expediente según el gusto de los sionistas”.

- “Visto lo visto, cobró fuerza la sospecha de que las explosiones fuesen en realidad una trama premeditada en la que participarían algunos responsables del gobierno y de la judicatura deArgentina, en concomitancia con los foros sionistas”.

- “Entre los grupos que están haciendo un seguimiento del caso se encuentra(n) (…) el Centro de Estudios Jurídicos y Sociales [en aparente alusión al Centro de Estudios Legales y Sociales– CELS], que es una institución influyente sionista”. Más adelante, describe a Memoria Activa como “la ONG judía con sede en EEUU”.

- “Se debe tener presente que el gobierno argentino tiene una capacidad limitada para resistir a los lobbyes (sic) sionistas”.

“El informe toma algunos datos reales aislados para realizar una construcción retórica propagandística orientada al encubrimiento. El dictamen del fiscal Alberto Nisman señalaresponsabilidades muy claras por parte de ex miembros del gobierno de Irán y de la cúpula de Hezbollah en la realización del atentado contra la AMIA”, agregó Sergio Widder, Representantepara América Latina del Centro Wiesenthal.

“En este nuevo aniversario del atentado contra la AMIA, formulamos un llamamiento a que se redoblen los esfuerzos internacionales para que los responsables de ese ataque comparezcan antela justicia y para que Irán y Hezbollah rindan cuentas ante los tribunales por sus actividades terroristas. Se trata de una deuda pendiente con las víctimas, con sus familias, con lasociedad argentina y con la comunidad internacional”, concluyó.
