| The Simon Wiesenthal Center condemned the use by some Haredi protesters in Jerusalem, of the infamous Jude yellow Star of David - which the Nazis forced the doomed Jews ofoccupied Europe to wear under penalty of death during the Holocaust, calling it “a desecration of the memory of the 6 million Jewish martyrs of the Shoah and brings shame on the verycommunity that this protest was supposed to defend.” “We call upon all leaders of the Torah communities to denounce these acts as a chillul hashem, a desecration of G-d's name. The Torah values so many victims of the Shoah wholived and died for the State of Israel, which is home to the largest number of Holocaust survivors in the world,” said Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper, SWC Dean and Founder andAssociate Dean.
