Defending the State of Israel

Fighting the demonization of Israel and Zionism in international forums, academia, and elsewhere

Despite historic and hard-fought peace treaties with Jordan and Egypt, the government of Iran continues to seek the annihilation of Israel while the Houthis of Yemen call for the murder not only of all Israelis, but of all Jews.  The United Nations, tasked with maintaining peace and defending human rights, is almost entirely silent on mass human rights violations in Sudan, Iran, China and elsewhere, while passing more resolutions against Israel than all other countries in the world combined.

Israel is the only country whose citizens are routinely expelled from athletic competitions, academic conferences, and even music events.

Against this challenging environment; the Simon Wiesenthal center works actively to defend the state of Israel. Whether it's calling for the release of Israeli hostages informs where is really hostages have been all but forgotten, or protesting the demonization of Israel in academia or the arts; the Simon Wiesenthal Center works with allies in government, the arts and from other faith communities in the US and around the world  to defend the safety of the state of Israel and advocate for the peaceful coexistence between Israel and its neighbors.
