captured in 1960.
Simon Wiesenthal and Friedman worked together after World War II where Friedman lost all of his family with the exception of one sister. He managed to escape the Nazis close to the end of thewar.
Dr. Efraim Zuroff, Simon Wiesenthal Center Israel Director said that Friedman "continued to do invaluable work by collecting data, finding documentation and engaging in educational activities onthe Holocaust until the end of his life.”
