The Simon Wiesenthal Center will participate in today’s protest against the Metropolitan Opera’s decision to present an operathat humanize terrorist murderers and give voice to blatant anti-Semitism.
Rabbi Steven Burg, Eastern Director of the leading Jewish Human Rights NGO who participated in a meeting with MET directorPeter Gelb, will speak at the demonstration against the MET’s decision to present a controversial Opera Klinghoffer, which critics, including the SWC charge uses blatantanti-Semitic rhetoric and humanizes terrorists. Rabbi Burg will also read a direct plea from Dr. Judea Pearl, father of the slain Wall Street Journalist, DanielPearl.
