Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean and Director of Global Social Action Agenda for SWC, said “By equating Israel, a democracydefending itself against a genocidal terrorist organization, with entities such as ISIS that practiced mass beheadings, the UN promulgates an outrageous lie that will influence millions of peopleto see the Middle East’s only democracy as morally equivalent to the world’s worst human rights violators. This decision, which takes no account of Hamas’ use of children as human shieldsor Israel’s frequent attempts to warn civilians when reasonably possible, essentially calls Israel a Nazi-like state, laying the moral and legal foundation for all but eradicating the world’sonly Jewish State.
This decision has nothing to do with reasonable criticism of ademocracy at war. It is a war against a democracy fought by inverting and corrupting the language of human rights.”
