The Simon Wiesenthal Center today is calling on authorities to immediately revoke the medical license of Dr. Lara Kollab, a former Cleveland Clinic resident, after threats to the lives of herJewish patients and other severely anti-Semitic comments were found on social media. In the now-erased posts, she said she would “purposely give all the yahood [Jews] the wrong meds…”(see photo of now-deleted Tweet captured by Canary Mission) and that she hoped “Allah would kill the Jews”. The Cleveland Clinic condemned Kollab and laterconfirmed that she was no longer with the hospital. She is, however, still medically licensed.
“While the Cleveland Clinic did the right thing, this person remains a menace to the community-at-large and has made a mockery of the Hippocratic Oath through her hatred. To protect the public, her Medical License should be revoked,” said Rabbi Marvin Hier, Founder and Dean of the Wiesenthal Center, and Rabbi Abraham Cooper, the Center’s Associate Dean and Director of GlobalSocial Action.
“We urge authorities to investigate if Kollab's threats could be prosecuted,” Hier and Cooper concluded.
