Wiesenthal Center Protests Access Granted to Extreme Right ‘Bandera Vecinal’ at The Casa Rosada, Argentine Presidential Palace

The reception granted to extreme right members of the Bandera Vecinal party at the Casa Rosada Presidential Palace led the Simon WiesenthalCenter to issue a vigorous protest.

Pedro Robledo, National Youth Undersecretary responded, "I want to strongly clarify that, in no way were they invited by the Government.Indeed, THEY were not even on the official calendar. They entered claiming they were a Neighborhood Party and there were few others present, who were allowed entry, but we would never endorse apolitical movement the likes of Bandera Vecinal."

For the second time recently, followers of the extremist Alejandro Biondini have managed to be officially received by resorting to allegeddeception as occurred with Marek Pernal, Ambassador of Poland, who received two alleged journalists, who then turned out to be members of Bandera Vecinal. Dr. Ariel Gelblung, Simon Wiesenthal Center for Latin America Representative stated, "Democracy must be defended by measures to preventsupporters of extremist ideologies exploiting a modus operandi full of tricks in order to achieve notoriety in the media."

Frente a la confirmación del hecho que integrantes del partido de extrema derecha Bandera Vecinal fueran recibidos en Casa Rosada, el CentroSimon Wiesenthal expresó su más profundo rechazo y reclamó al Gobierno Nacional las pertinentes explicaciones, invocando el compromiso asumido por las fuerzas políticas posteriores alreconocimiento legal de dicha agrupación para actuar en el ámbito de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires el 13 de junio de 2014.

El Subsecretario de Juventud de la Nación, Pedro Robledo, sostuvo: “Quiero dejar aclarada de forma contundente que de ningún modo fueroninvitados por el gobierno y ni siquiera figuran en el cronograma oficial. Ingresaron diciendo que eran un partido vecinalista y al haber algunos otros se les permitió el ingreso pero jamásavalaríamos un movimiento político que representa los valores de Bandera Vecinal”.

Por segunda vez en poco tiempo, los seguidores del extremista Alejandro Biondini han logrado ser recibidos en forma oficial recurriendo apresuntas maniobras engañosas, para luego vanagloriarse con publicaciones en medios afines, tal como sucedió con el Embajador de Polonia, Marek Pernal, quien recibió dos periodistas que luegoresultaron ser integrantes de Bandera Vecinal.
