Wiesenthal Center Urges German City to Withdraw Code Pink "Tolerance" Award

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is urging the German town of Bayreuth to withdraw its Wilhelmine-von-Bayreuth-Prize slated to be bestowed upon theCode Pink Organization this April. The award is given by the City of Bayreuth “for tolerance and humanity in cultural diversity."

“Code Pink’s virulent anti-Israel activities, home to the world’s largest community should disqualify honors from anyone inGermany,” charged Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean of of the leading Jewish Human Rights NGO.

Code Pink’s top leaders participated in—what in Germany would be a criminal enterprise—an anti-Semitic Holocaust Denial Conference convened bythe serial human rights deniers in Tehran.

“How could anyone bestow honors upon an organization whose leaders attended such a conference in Tehran, run by a regime that executeschildren, hangs gays, and imprisons innocent clergy?" Cooper added.

Further, the Award Committee had only to pull up this you YouTube to hear the public chanting by Code Pink members outside a major Jewishconference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLpXkQ49HaY:

“Hitler, Yahoo, You Will See, Palestine Will Be free!” and “Judaism Yes, Zionism No, The State of Israel Has toGo!”

Such genocidal chants alone should disqualify Code Pink from any German “Tolerance Award”.

“Third, was the desecration of Judaism’s Holiest religious site—The Kotel, (The Western Wall) by Code Pink to promote the anti-Semitic,extreme anti-Peace, BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) Movement.”

“Bayreuth dishonors itself and the values that the award articulates by such a choice. The Simon Wiesenthal Center urges Bayreuth towithdraw its honor of those who validate deniers of the Nazi Holocaust and who seek the destruction of the Jewish democratic state of Israel,” Rabbi Cooper concluded.
