“The buck stops with PA President Mahmoud Abbas who has hailed the actions of thesemurderous thugs. It is time for the US and the European Union, main funders of the Palestinian Authority, to suspend their financial and diplomatic support for the corrupt PA that shows zerocommitment to peace with their Jewish neighbors,” said Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper, Dean and Founder and Associate Dean of the Center.
Abbas consistently says to the US and the western world that he is against terrorism and violence. Where is his voice of condemnation now? If his excuse is that this is the work of Hamas and theother terrorist groups, why is his national Unity Government, including Hamas? And where are the US and the EU?” Rabbi Hier added.
The Wiesenthal Center further urges Facebook and other social networking giants to act quickly to stop their services from being used as platforms to celebrate and encourage the murder ofJews.
