On the eve of the anniversary of the November 1938 Pogrom, known asKristallnacht, the official networks of the São Paulo club propose to contain the growth of hatred, racism, and anti-Semitism.
Dr. Ariel Gelblung, Latin American Wiesenthal Center`s Representative saidthat “this type of campaign deserves support, encouragement and promotion. This is the example for football clubs to generate good practices and unity between peoples, rather than hate anddivision. Faced with the spread of Holocaust denial, the Corinthians proposes memory. ”
“What began in 1938 with ‘Kauft nicht bei Juden!’ (Do not buy from Jews)was a prelude to the Holocaust. Those voices are repeated today in proposing boycott, divestment, and sanctions.
