Friends Of Simon Wiesenthal Center Calls On United Nations To Strengthen Its Border Patrols

FRIENDS OF SIMON WIESENTHAL CENTER CALLS ON UNITED NATIONS TO STRENGTHEN ITS BORDER PATROLS

TORONTO - June 26/07 – "The detonated bombing murder of six United Nations Spanish and Colombiansoldiers in Lebanon has underscored the ruthless nature of terrorists in the Middle East," said Leo Adler, Director of National Affairs for Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center.

"Our hearts and prayers go out to the families," Adler added. "But let us never forget that these are the same peopleand groups that also target innocent civilians throughout Lebanon, as well as in Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel and the Palestinian Territories."

Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center calls upon the UN to strengthen the forces patrolling the border areas and to assistLebanon's army in their battle against terrorism.
