| Since its inception, the program has served 80 college and graduate school-aged students from across thecountry. GAIP provides first-hand experience in the mechanics of state and municipal government, politics, media relations, inter-group relationship-building, grassroots organizing, andother strategic necessities for real-time effective activism. In addition to working each day, the interns attend regular leadership training sessions given by top lobbyists, issue-based advocates and Jewish communal leaders.
