| Today, as his familyprepares to bury George Floyd, a victim of a heinous murder by someone entrusted by society to protect all its citizens , the Simon Wiesenthal Center shares a teaching from our sages whotaught us that peace is the only receptacle that can hold all the blessings that G-d bestows upon us. That receptacle is broken. We all must be part of the effort to repair it. These words were shared with community and interfaith leaders by the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s associate dean and global social action head, Rabbi Abraham Cooper, at an interfaith pressconference and gathering led by Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore. “You can rely on the Simon Wiesenthal Center and our Museum of Tolerance to continue to do its part in bringing people together, healing and working towards peace,” Cooper told thosegathered. |
