Argentina made an official decision last night to adopt the International HolocaustRemembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism, which will serve as a guide to determining what behaviours can be considered antisemitic and "contribute to the fightof the Argentine Republic against antisemitism in all its forms."
Simon Wiesenthal Center applauded the decision, with Dr. Ariel Gelblung, the Center's Latin American Director,stating, “Being a full member of IHRA and adopting its definition of Antisemitism is an important step that complements the series of anti-discrimination laws adoptedacross the region since the 1990s. Today, Argentine jurisprudence is a leader in human rights legislation." Argentina is the only full member of the IHRA in LatinAmerica to adopt the definition.

FSWC Commends Canada for Decisive Response to BDS Activist’s Claim forAsylum
FSWC is appalled by Israeli BDS activist Gilad Paz’s attempt to abuse and make a mockeryof Canada’s refugee system and commends Canada for its decisive rejection of the man’s claim for asylum. Paz filed for refugee status in Montreal in 2016, claiming hewas fearful of “persecution” in Israel due to his anti-Israel beliefs. Israel, like Canada, is a democracy bound by rule of law, with rights of free expressionguaranteed to all its citizens.
