| Emphazises Importance of IHRA Definition on Antisemitism |
| Washington, DC - During a wide ranging one hour meetingwith SWC`s senior officers at the Organization of American States (OAS), Secretary General Luis Almagro express his deep concern over increased iranian activities in Latin America,including a recent three nation visit by iranian president Raisi which elicited “no protest or condemnation from any Latin American leader”, this dispite the fact senior iranian officialsare wanted for the envolvement in the deadly 1994 AMIA bombing in Buenos Aires, Argentina. |

| Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associated Dean and Director of Global Social Action and Dr. Ariel Gelblung, Director for Latin Americafrom the Simon Wiesenthal Center detailed the impact of social media throughout the hemisphere and how this unprecedented marketing tool is being leveraged by violent antisemites in the USand by Neo-Nazis in Latin America, specially in Southern Brazil. “We offered the expertise of the SWC’s Digital Terrorism and Hate Project to educate public officials, the media andthe citizens of member states to understand the scope of hate on social media platforms and steps to be taken to combat it,” said Rabbi Cooper. |

| Dr. Gelblung, who just atended the IHRA Plennary Session in Dubrovnik, Croatia, thanked the Secretary General for his longstanding support for the IHRA Definition on Antisemitism and pledged to work with the OAS to expand the American Countries in the western hemisphere to adopt it. |
