Buenos Aires and Paris - As soon as it became known that Roger Waters had scheduledappearances in Mexico for next October, both Directors for International Relations and Latin America of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Drs. Shimon Samuels and Ariel Gelblung, respectively, sentletters to companies that are organizers or sponsors. Addressing OCESA, Palacio de los Deportes, Cerveza Corona, Aeroméxico and Citibanamex in Mexico andAnheuser-Busch. In Bev, Belgium, the main international shareholder of the above-mentioned beer, the Centre warned: “The prestige of your enterprise should not be sullied by those who usemusic as camouflage to discriminate and spread a violent and racist message. On his previous visit, Waters displayed an inflatable pig carrying a Star of David, to besmirch the Jews, who consider(the pig) an impure animal. This imagery represents the German medieval anti-Semitic iconography of the Judensau or Jewish sow."
The letter continued: "Money that youwill invest in supporting Waters will be used to prevent humanitarian aid from reaching the Venezuelan people, or to finance the explosive balloons that Hamas uses in its attacks on the civilianpopulation that borders the Gaza Strip. Or maybe to sustain the policy - declared illegitimate in many jurisdictions – of BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement against Israel, based onthe Nazi boycott - 'Do not to buy from Jews' - a precursor of the Pogrom of November 1938 known as Kristallnacht, just in the year.”
Samuels and Gelblung have notified all sponsor companies, in Europe and the Americas, that theWiesenthal Center Mexican volunteer group - that in 2018 led the campaign “RESIST THE RACIST”, during the last visit of Waters - will simultaneously launch a campaign to protest those 'Sons ofDarkness' still willing to promote hate and commend those who have joined the 'Sons of Light'.

Tan pronto como se supo que Roger Waters había programado apariciones en México para el próximooctubre, los Directores de Relaciones Internacionales y para América Latina del Centro Simon Wiesenthal, Dres. Shimon Samuels y Ariel Gelblung, respectivamente, dirigieron cartas a las empresasque organizan o auspician dicha performance..Dirigiéndose a OCESA, el Palacio de los Deportes, Cerveza Corona, Aeroméxico y Citibanamex en México yAnheuser-Busch en Bev, Bélgica, el principal accionista de la citada cervecera, el Centro advirtió que: "El prestigio de su empresa no debe ser manchado por aquellos que usan la música comocamuflaje para discriminar y difundir un mensaje violento y racista.En su visita anterior, Waters utilizó un cerdo inflable con una estrella deDavid, para mancillar a los judíos, que lo consideran un animal impuro. Estas imágenes remiten la iconografía antisemita medieval alemana de Judensau o cerda judía".
La carta continuó: "El dinero que Uds. invertirán para apoyar a Waters se utilizará para evitarque la ayuda humanitaria llegue al pueblo venezolano, o para financiar los globos explosivos que Hamas usa en sus ataques contra la población civil que limita con la Franja de Gaza. O tal vezpara sostener la política, declarada ilegítima en muchas jurisdicciones, del movimiento BDS (Boicot, Desinversión y Sanciones) contra Israel, basado en el boicot nazi, "No comprar a judíos", unprecursor del Pogrom de noviembre de 1938 conocido como Kristallnacht , en el año en que se conmemoran los 75 años de la liberación de Auschwitz.”Samuels y Gelblung han notificado a todas las empresas patrocinadoras, en Europa y América, que el grupo de voluntarios mexicanos del Centro Wiesenthal, que en 2018 lideró lacampaña "RESISTE AL RACISTA", durante la última visita de Waters, lanzará simultáneamente una campaña de
acciónpública para apoyar la petición.
