Urges Administration to 'take all necessary measures to hold accountable the terrorists who murdered our citizens and to secure our embassies'

The Simon Wiesenthal Center condemns the murder of four US diplomats, including our ambassador in Libya on the anniversary of 9/11. Rabbi Abraham Cooper, the Associate Dean of theCenter, and Mark Weitzman, the Center’s Director of Government Affairs said, “We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the murdered diplomats who lost theirlives in the service of the country they so faithfully served. All Americans honor their service and stand united in condemning their brutal murder by people who share thehate-filled worldview of Al Qaeda. The murder of Ambassador Stevens (pictured) has also deprived the Libyan people and nation of one of its best friends, a diplomat who wastrying to help bolster the forces of freedom and democracy in Libya as it emerged from the tyranny of the Gaddafi regime.”

The Simon Wiesenthal Center trusts that our Administration will take all necessary measures to hold accountable the terrorists who murdered our citizens and to secure ourembassies in Egypt and across the Arab world.
