Simon Wiesenthal Center Commends the Court’s Decision to Sentence the Two Penn State Students Who Pled Guilty to Anti-Semitic Vandalizing



Two Penn State students who pleaded guilty to spray-painting anti-Semitic graffiti on a mostly Jewish fraternity house weresentenced today to community service and probation. ”We commend Centre County prosecutors and law enforcement for bringing to justice those Penn State students who perpetratedthese hateful & anti-Semitic crimes,” said Aron Hier, Director, Campus Outreach.

The Wiesenthal Center anticipates that Jewish students will be subject to many attempts to intimidate them on campuses acrossthe country. It recently released a new app COMBATHATEU that will bemade available for free on Apple’s App Store and Google+. The goal is to enable any student, anywhere to report such incidents immediately and better enable the Wiesenthal Centerand other Jewish organizations to help them stand up for their rights.
