SWC Calls on President Obama to Release Jonathan Pollard

The Simon Wiesenthal Center mourns the loss of a great American patriot and Jew, Dr. Morris Pollard. "Morris was a great friend of the Simon Wiesenthal Center who campaigned for the release ofhis son Jonathan with passion and dignity."

"We take little solace that Jonathan was allowed to call his father on his deathbed. While we never condoned Mr. Pollard's actions, it is clear that after more than two decades, hiscontinued incarceration is less about justice and more about maintaining a potential chip in the Middle East negotiations."

"We urge President Obama to reduce Jonathan Pollard's sentence to time served".
