SWC Calls on President Trump to Withdraw and Apologize for Comments Reminiscent of Nazi Era

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is calling on former President Donald Trump to immediately withdraw and apologize for comments he madein an interview where he said that undocumented immigrants were “poisoning the blood of our country.”

“Former President Trump has invoked language reminiscent of the Nazi era,” said Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper, CEO andFounder and Associate Dean and Director of Global Social Action.

“It is completely unacceptable to use such language in the body politic of American society. We call on him to withdraw thestatement and apologize immediately,” Hier and Cooper concluded. Rabbi Hier delivered an invocation at President Trump’s inauguration in January, 2017.
