SWC Condemns Jerusalem Terrorist Attack: It’s Terrorism not Settlements that Stands in the Way of Peace

The Simon Wiesenthal Center condemned today's double terror attack in Jerusalem that left one dead and others injured.

“Today’s terrorist attack is another reminder that Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism is the only obstacle that stands inthe way between an Israeli-Palestinian rapprochement - it’s terrorism, not settlements,” said Rabbi Marvin Hier, Simon Wiesenthal Center Founder and Dean.

The objective of the terrorists is what it has always been: The refusal to accept the presence of a Jewish, democratic state in the MiddleEast,” he added.

“The Center reiterates its call for the United Nations to finally and unequivocally state that terrorism is a crime against humanity,” Hier concluded.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is an international Jewish human rights organization numbering over 400.000 members. It holds consultativestatus at the United Nations, UNESCO, the OSCE, the Council of Europe, the OAS and the Latin American Parliament (PARLATINO)
