The Simon Wiesenthal Center condemned the shooting of two Israeli policemen by Israeli Arab terrorists at Jerusalem's Temple Mount.
“We mourn the killings of two Druze police officers killed by Arab terrorists, who used the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site as a staging area for terrorism,” said RabbiHier, SWC Founder and Dean, and Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean and Global Social Action Agenda Director.
“The status quo on the Temple Mount that has enabled Palestinian sermons to fuel religious hatred of Israel cannot go on. Today’s horror is bloody proof why despite the outrageous UNESCOvotes, Israel must never cede control of the Holy sites to Arabs,” they added.
Just yesterday, during a meeting at the US Department of State, Rabbis Hier and Cooper reiterated that as long as Hamas is in Gaza, and terrorism is used by the Palestinians, there will be noprogress towards peace.
