SWC Condemns Murderous Palestinian Terrorist Attack Near a Jerusalem Synagogue that Left Seven Dead and Numerous Injured

Attack took place on Sabbath eve on International Holocaust Remembrance Day
The Simon Wiesenthal Center condemned a Palestinian terrorist attack near a Jerusalem area synagogue on Sabbath eve that leftseven people dead and seven wounded. The attack occurred in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood in East Jerusalem on International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

“The Simon Wiesenthal Center mourns the murder of Jews gunned down near their house of prayer on a Shabbat evening inJerusalem. We mourn for those murdered on International Holocaust Remembrance Day and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.”

“It’s time for nations and international entities that stood earlier today in silent solidarity with six millions Jewsmurdered in the Holocaust, to withhold support for the Palestinian Authority [PA] which officially financially rewards terrorists and their families for murdering Jews. Donor nations to thePalestinians have an obligation to help put an end to the PA’s pay-to-slay-Jews policy. We don’t need solemn ceremonies for dead Jews from those who support entities who continue to murderlive ones,” stated Rabbi Marvin Hier, SWC CEO + Founder and Rabbi Abraham Cooper, SWC Associate Dean and Director of Global Social Action Agenda.
