SWC Criticizes UK Deputy Consul General Who Took Part in Palestinian Marathon Against ‘Fascist Israeli Occupation’

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is calling out Alison McEwen, a leading diplomat at the British Consulate General in Jerusalem, whotogether with Foreign Office colleagues, took part in this year’s “Palestine Marathon” event organized by a group called “Right to Movement”, which campaigns against “the many obstacles that welive daily under fascist racist occupation”.

A picture of eight of the British runners, described as “Team UK,” wearing T-shirts showing a map which campaigners claimed“erases Israel,” was posted on the Consulate General’s official Twitter account and Facebook page.

“Clueless? Anti-Israel? Either way this diplomat legitimizes a map that has no place for the Jewish state. She owes her country and the people of Israel an explanation. Don’t bother with competing narrative excuse Palestinian narrative has no place for Israel,” stated SWC Associate Dean and Director of Global Social Action Agenda, Rabbi Abraham Cooper.
