Slain Virginia Tech Professor Liviu Librescu, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, And NBC’s AnnCurry Received Medals Of Valor At Wiesenthal Center National Tribute Dinner

Liviu Librescu (posthumously), the Virginia Tech professor who gave his own life so that his students would be sparedfrom the massacre; Israeli Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin (posthumously), who led the reunification of Jerusalem 40 years ago; and NBC Today Show

news anchor Ann Curry, who has distinguished herself by reporting on global humanitarian crises, were recipientsof the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Medal of Valor when the Center and the Museum of Tolerance held its annual National Tribute Dinner at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills. Thisyear, the Center presented Robert Shaye and Michael Lynne, co-Chairmen and co-CEOs of New Line Cinema with its highest honor, the 2007 Humanitarian Award, for their commitment to culturaldiversity, social responsibility and philanthropy.

Dinner Chairmen were Jeff Bewkes, President and COO, Time Warner Inc.; Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO, DreamWorks Animation; and Ron Meyer, President and COO, Universal Studios.
