SWC LAUDS UN SECRETARY GENERAL FOR CANCELING IRAN TRIP

The Simon Wiesenthal Center lauded United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan for canceling his November 11, 2005 visitto Tehran.

"This is an important gesture by Mr. Annan," said Rabbi Abraham Cooper, the Wiesenthal Center's associate dean. "Itsends a message to the Tehran regime that it cannot be business as usual when a genocidal threat is made," he added.
