SWC: Morsi Mocks Americans By Pocketing Our Aid While Answering Amen to Public Prayer, "To Destroy The Jews and Their Supporters"

Jewish Human Rights NGO Reiterates Call to President Obama to publicly condemn Muslim Brotherhood's anti-Jewishhatred

The Simon Wiesenthal Center reiterated its call to President Obama topublicly condemn the growing chorus of anti-Semitism in Egypt, led by the Muslim Brotherhood and to cut off all official and official contacts with the MB unless and until theystop spreading their genocidal anti-Jewish hatred.

On October 19, Egypt’s Channel 1 broadcast Egyptian cleric Futouh Abd Al-Nabi Mansour's sermon which he prayed: "Oh Allah, destroy the Jews and their supporters. Oh Allah, disperse them, rend them as under. Oh Allah, demonstrate Your might and greatness upon them." Morsi is seen and heard answering‘Amen’(see clip at MEMRI’s TV Monitor Project page, http://www.memritv.org/clip/en/3614.htm).

“This is a slap in the face to America as Egypt’s President Morsi pockets billions in US aid and says amen to principles thatare repugnant to all Americans,” charged Rabbi Marvin Hier, dean and founder of the Wiesenthal Center and Rabbi Abraham Cooper, the Center’s associate dean.

"Morsi, the leader who just lectured the world from the UN podium about the need to safeguard religions from desecration, apparently doesn’t extend it to the Jewish people and its faith,” the rabbis continued. “He and his government need to hear an unequivocal warning from the US that it won't bebusiness as usual as long as the public espousal of genocidal hate against Jews continues," they concluded.

Earlier this month, the Wiesenthal Center denounced an anti-Semitic call to Jihad against Jews by Muslim Brotherhood SupremeGuide, Mohammed Badie.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is one of the largest international Jewish human rights organizations with over 400,000 memberfamilies in the United States. It is an NGO at international agencies including the United Nations, UNESCO, the OSCE, the OAS, the Council of Europe and the Latin AmericanParliament (Parlatino).
