SWC Mourns the Loss of Longtime SWC Friend and Supporter Jonathan Dolgen

The Simon Wiesenthal Center mourns the passing of former chairman and CEO of Viacom Entertainment Group, JonathanDolgen, who passed away today at the age of 78.

In 1997, Dolgen received the Center’s highest honor, the Humanitarian Award for his years of friendship and support of the SimonWiesenthal Center.

“What Jonathan Dolgen stood for and what he taught his children, is that a person’sobligation is to help rebuild the cracks, to fight against the injustices, to protect the underprivileged, and to build a better world for ‘the generations of mankind.’ He was an inspirationto many and will be sorely missed,” said Rabbi Marvin Hier, SWC Founder and CEO.
