| "This disgusting and incendiary cartoon was published the same week a student leader at McGill, a top Canadian University, called for 'Punch a Zionist' campaign," said Rabbi Abraham Cooper,Associate Dean, Simon Wiesenthal Center. "Extreme Anti-Israel activists feel a sense of empowerment, where they feel that University officials and most of their peers won't punish any bad behavior when it comes to Israel. "Don't be shocked that this often includes blatant Jew-hatred and attacks on core values of Judaism which is rife in Arab and Muslim world. "Time for Congress to pass bill defining anti-Semitism (adopt State Department definition) so that Jewish students on campus can get some action from universities and US Department ofEducation," Cooper concluded. |
