| SWC’s Eastern Director Michael Cohen stood in solidarity with Lakewood Township and Ocean County elected and communityleadership including senior members of regional law enforcement agencies at a press conference yesterday discussing the vicious hate crime perpetrated Friday evening. The press conference was in response to the violent attack of three Jewish men in a string of hate crimes that began with acarjacking in Lakewood on Friday afternoon. Police officials announce that while the victims are critical they are all now stable and expected to recover. SWC commended local law enforcement and volunteer agencies who ensured the quick apprehension of Dion Marsh who is accusedof carrying out the attacks. SWC at the same time would like to commend the elected officials representing Lakewood who were present at the press conference for their strong statementsdemonstrating that the region will have absolutely no tolerance for hate crimes and crimes against the Jewish community. |
