SWC Urges President Obama to take immediate action to destroy or remove all WMD stockpiles in Syria

"1,300 bodies have obliterated the Red Line"

The Simon Wiesenthal Center, a leading JewishHuman Rights NGO is urging the United States to take immediate steps to destroy or remove all WMD stockpiles in Syria:

"Like all civilized people, the Simon Wiesenthal Center is horrified by the gassing of innocent civilians in Syria, reportedly by the regime of Bashir Assad", said Rabbis Marvin Hier andAbraham Cooper, founder and dean and associate dean of the human rights group.

"We call on President Obama to take action he previously alluded to when he cautioned that the use of such WMDs would constitute crossing the 'red line'. The bodies of 1,300 peoplehave obliterated that line.

“We urge the US, preferably with its NATO allies, and if possible, with Russian cooperation--but alone if necessary--to take immediate and muscular steps to destroy or remove allWMD stockpiles in Syria, " they concluded.
