Wiesenthal Center applauds Christian Dior for firing John Galliano over his repeated anti-Semitism

“The Simon Wiesenthal Center applauds Christian Dior for putting principle above profit and taking necessary action against a bigot whose public displays of anti-Semitism demanded that Mr. Galliano be removed," said Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper, dean and associate dean of the Simon WiesenthalCenter, a leading Jewish human rights NGO.

"Christian Dior's principled response is especially important at a time when the Wiesenthal Center has bemoaned a spike in public anti-Semitic diatribes emanating not only from marginalizedextremists, but from among elite personalities in media, finance and public policy.”

“As for the world's top designer, if he cannot control his bigotry in the future perhaps he can find a job designing clothes for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad," Wiesenthal Center officials concluded.
