"Waters apparently uses music as a vector for bigotry among the young... He violates the freedom of other musicianswho want to play in Israel and promotes a movement to deny the right of self-determination of only one people and supports those who wish to destroy the State of Israel," claimed Dr. ArielGelblung, Representative of the Wiesenthal Center for Latin America, continuing, "The true artist should use his gifts to inspire improvements to humanity and not generate violence. Using a pigto identify the Jewish people to dehumanize, eventually justifies its isolation from the human race and its eventual destruction."
"Waters came to Uruguay and Argentina to promote BDS - Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions - declared illegitimate in a growing number of European jurisdictions as based on the attacks in Nazi Germanyon Jewish shops and enterprises to the cries of "Kaufen nicht bei Juden" (No Buying from Jews). The timing of his hatefest tour led up to today's 80th anniversary of "Kristallnacht" (the Night ofBroken Glass). Across Germany and Austria, 1,500 synagogues were torched and 30,000 Jews were sent toconcentration camps." ... El Centro Wiesenthal Insta a los Anfitriones Latinoamericanos a Repudiar el Mensaje de Odio de Roger Waters Haciendo Abuso de la Hospitalidad Brindada
"Los antisemitas medievales utilizaban una iconografía para humillar y deshumanizar a los judíos, que los mostraba como una cerda judía o Judensau. Al usar este mismo símbolo, aunque aggiornadocon tecnología del siglo XXI, Waters contribuye a instigar una avalancha de odio antisemita ...
Waters aparentemente usa la música como pretexto para fomentar el fanatismo entre los jóvenes ... Viola la libertadde elecciòn de otros músicos que desean tocar en Israel y promueve un movimiento para denegar el derecho a la autodeterminación de un único pueblo, el judío, y apoya a aquellos que buscandestruir el Estado de Israel", afirmó el Dr. Ariel Gelblung, Representante del Centro Wiesenthal para América Latina. Continuó diciendo:" Un verdadero artista deberìa usar sus dones paracontribuir con la Humanidad y no para generar violencia. Usar un cerdo con el mensaje explícito "Mantente Humano" para identificarlo con el judío y deshumanizarlo, es el primer paso para aislarlode dicho género y luego destruirlo"
"Waters vino a promover el movimiento de Boicot, Desinversión y Sanciones -tanto en Uruguay como en Argentina. Este movimiento ha sido declarado ilegìtimo en un número creciente de jurisdiccioneseuropeas, por considerarlo basado en los ataques perpetrados en la Alemania Nazi a tiendas y empresas judías bajo el grito de " Kaufen nicht bei Juden "( No compren a los judíos). No es casualque su festiva gira de odio coincida con el 80º aniversario de la cínicamente llamada "Kristallnacht" (Noche de los Cristales Rotos). Aquella noche, todo a lo largo de Alemania y de Austria,1.500 sinagogas fueron incendiadas y 30.000 judíos enviados a campos de concentración ... Waters, quien presuntamente frecuenta a grupos terroristas prohibidos en su propio país, debería sertratado como persona non grata en todos los países que se consideran democráticos y no ser declarado Visitante Ilustre", concluyó el Dr. Shimon Samuels, Director de Relaciones Internacionales delCentro.
