Wiesenthal Center Praises Stanford Undergrad Senate’s Condemnation of Campus Anti-Semitism

Stanford resolution a “…stark contradistinction to the pernicious actions of the NYU Graduate Student Workers Union” vote toboycott Tel Aviv University,” says Center official.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center commends the Undergraduate Senate of the Associated Students of Stanford University for the recent passingof a resolution condemning campus anti-Semitism. Notably, the resolution lists “demonization ofIsrael” and accusing it “of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust” as examples of anti-Semitism.

“In the wake of the precedent-setting UC resolution condemning anti-Semitic forms of anti-Zionism, Stanford, during theauspicious Passover Holiday, has now proudly joined the ranks of those who unabashedly denounce and repudiate the plague of odious anti-Semitic hate speech that continues to be the scourgeof the entire campus community,” said Aron Hier, the Wiesenthal Center’s Director of Campus Outreach, adding, “This is in stark contradistinction to the pernicious actionsof the NYU Graduate Student Workers Union who just voted to cut ties with Tel Aviv University.”
