Wiesenthal Center Praises U.S. For Support For Israel’s Right To Self-Defense

The Simon Wiesenthal Center commends the US for standing with Israel’s right to self-defense after Iran brazenly launched a drone intoIsraeli territory from Syria,” said Rabbi Marvin Hier, Founder and Dean of the Wiesenthal Center and Rabbi Abraham Cooper, the Center’s Associate Dean and Director of Global SocialAction Agenda, adding, “Israel left no doubt it would not allow Iran to act with impunity in threatening the Jewish state.”

“Other democracies including, Germany, Canada, France, Australia and the UK should follow the US lead. The best deterrence against furtherillegal attacks by the Iranian regime which could lead to a war is if Tehran’s European trading partners for once, stand with the Jewish state against such aggression,”the Wiesenthal Center officials said.

“Finally, this is also a time for members of the US Congress to publicly declare their solidarity with the Jewish state against a regimepublicly bent to its destruction,” Rabbi Hier and Rabbi Cooper concluded.
