Wiesenthal Center: Prime Minister Abe's Words at Anne Frank House

The Simon Wiesenthal Center, a leading Jewish Human Rights NGO lauded Japan Prime Minister Abe's visit to the Anne Frank Housein Amsterdam.

"The Prime Minister's visit to the Anne Frank's House wherein he paid homage to the her words and legacy was an embrace of theimportance of Memory and an act of solidarity and friendship with the Jewish people-past and present," said Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean of the Wiesenthal Center and itsMuseum of Tolerance.

"We note that the Prime Minister acknowledged the importance of passing down the bitter lessons learned from the 20th centuryto future generations, a task that the Wiesenthal Center is committed to work together with leaders like the Prime Minister to achieve," Rabbi Cooper added.

​"Mr. Abe's moving words and commitment is further proof that Anne words of hope and love of life will always persevere overthose who seek to destroy her words and legacy," Rabbi Cooper concluded.
