Sending A Gift Of A Tribute Helps Support The Work Of The Simon WiesenthalCenter

This Chanukah, sending a gift of a tribute from the Simon Wiesenthal Center is a thoughtful way to acknowledge the holiday while at the same time enabling us to continue our work of fighting antisemitism,Holocaust denial, terrorism, hate around the world, and defending the safety of Jews everywhere.

Tributes can be sentyear round to commemorateother holidays: births, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, graduations, engagements, get well greetings, anniversaries, weddings, yahrtzeits, honoring parents or others, andas a thank you. Additionally, cards can be made to allow you to send your own personalized message.

Your tribute will be acknowledged in the form of a specially designed card, which willbe mailed to the person or family you designate. The amount of the gift will not be disclosed. All contributions are in U.S. dollars and are tax deductible.

And,through December 31, 2005, US taxpayers can take advantage of new tax breaks for charitable gifts of cash. The Katrina Emergency Tax Relief Act of 2005 allowsindividuals who itemize and make cash contributions to nonprofit organizations between August 28 and December 31, 2005 to deduct such contributions up to 100 percent oftheir adjusted gross income (AGI), if so desired. Donations made to any public charity made during this time can be deducted. For more information, go towww.irs.gov
