Simon Wiesenthal Center Statement on Devastating Earthquake in Morocco

Rabbi Marvin Hier, Founder and CEO of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Deanand Global Social Action Director issued the following statement in regards to the loss of life and destruction caused by the earthquake in Morocco:

“Our hearts go out to the families of those who were struck down, injured and impacted by the devastating earthquakethat struck Morocco.

In addition, the Jewish people, so much of whose history over a millennia took place in this country, joined with peoplethe world over who have experienced Morocco’s living, breathing link to our collective past.”
