SWC Briefs Scotland Yard Over Terrorist's Hijacking of Social Media

Following recent terrorist attacks in the UK, Rabbi Abraham Cooper and Dr. Shimon Samuels, Associate Dean and International Relations Director of the Simon Wiesenthal Centerconferred with top Scotland Yard police officials (pictured below) to discuss strategies to degrade ISIS’ continued leveraging of Social Media.

While in London, Cooper and Samuels noted, "Looking out the window of the conference room we could see both Westminster and London Bridge — two of the three sites of recentmurderous terrorist attacks, which together with the Manchester Concert atrocity have left the people of England shaken.”

Cooper and Samuels also:

• Made a formal presentation to Jewish community leaders and media representatives at JW3, the largest Jewish Community Center in Europe (pictured bottom left)

• Conferred with HG Bishop Angaelos, the leader of Coptic Christians in the UK who have been the targets of continuing murderous terror attacks in Egypt (pictured bottomright)

• Met with US and Israeli diplomats focusing on the Internet and Middle East issues
