SWC Mourns the Passing of Former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzchak Shamir

The Simon Wiesenthal Center joins the whole house of Israel in mourning the passing of former Prime Minister Yitzchak Shamir who served Israel with courage and great distinctionin the struggle for the creation of Israel and every day since the Jewish state's founding.

We remember fondly his numerous visits to the Wiesenthal center in Los Angeles. He will be remembered as a great patriot who woke up everyday asking: "What more can I do today todefend the State Of Israel and the Jewish people."
