In a letter to Brazilian Justice Minister, Sergio Moro, the SimonWiesenthal Centre protested a Court ruling that sticking posters on public buildings on Hitler's birthday - captioned "Heroes do not Die...Congratulations Fuhrer" - do Not incite to racial hatred or celebrate Nazism
"Mr.Minister, on behalf of our 400,000 worldwide membership,including followers in Brazil, we urge you to bring the Public Prosecutor to appeal the decision of Judge Augusto Cesar Aguiar, of the Criminal Court in Santa Catarina", stated theCentre's Latin American Representative, Dr.Ariel Gelblung

En una carta dirigida al Ministro de Justicia de Brasil, Sergio Moro, elCentro Simon Wiesenthal protestó contra un fallo judicial que sostiene que pegar carteles en edificios públicos en el día de cumpleaños de Hitler, con la leyenda "Los héroes nomueren ... Felicitaciones Fuhrer", no incita al odio racial ni propaga el nazismo
“Sr. Ministro: En nombre de nuestros 400,000 miembros en todo el mundo,incluidos los seguidores en Brasil, le instamos a que instruya al Fiscal para que apele la decisión del Juez Augusto César Aguiar, del Tribunal Criminal en Santa Catarina”, declaróel Representante del Centro para América Latina, Dr.Ariel Gelblung
“No se puede abusar del sistema de justicia brasileño para alentar elodio. De hecho, nuestro difunto mentor Simon Wiesenthal trabajó después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial para llevar a los fugitivos nazis en América Latina ante Tribunales de Justicia. Sin embargo,no logró capturar al famoso médico de Auschwitz Josef Mengele que realizó experimentos bárbaros con humanos. Durante mucho tiempo sobrevivió a sus víctimas en suelo brasileño,” enfatizó elDirector de Relaciones Internacionales, Dr. Shimon Samuels.
